I request you to configure your email client (Outlook/Windows mail/Thunderbird) so that it connects to the AVG Email Protection instead of the actual email server. Please check if you are using POP3/IMAP or SMTP settings. Please use the below configuration in your email client to connect it with AVG email scanner.
POP3/IMAP:
Server: 127.0.0.1
Port: 5300
Username / password: same as before (i.e. your email username and password)
Encryption: NONE ( SSL disabled)
SMTP:
Server: 127.0.0.1
Port: 5400
Authentication: same as before
Username / password: same as before (if required)
Encryption: NONE ( SSL disabled)

I have installed avg and followed tthe setup for AVG email protection …up to and including 1-6 but the rest I am at loss please HELP ME
