Do you still have the AVG Free installed in your computer?
Did you get any error message?
Please use the AVG Clear tool and check for the issue again.
For AVG Clear tool, use this link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe
Run the file and when you get AVG clear window loading, you will get a prompt with Yes and No option. Click on "No" and then select "Uninstall" to proceed with the removal.
Restart the PC when the prompt appears and then install AVG Antivirus free again.

this application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail
i have tried to fix this for three months, i tried running sxstrace but it pops up for a second then disappears
ive tried the avg remover tool, ive removed everything avg related and reinstalled the free version but it still wont work
ive tried looking for the sxstrace tool itself but i cant find it
