Hello James,
I'm sorry to hear about this, please share a screenshot of the AVG detection (pop up) to assist you further (now you can attach/post the screenshots).
Best regards,
Alok.
Since downloading June 29, 2017 update, all I keep on getting is an AVG pop-up saying you caught a
SMB:CVE-2017-0144 [Expl]
problem you have put into quarantine, and it gives me two options, to either scan the whole computer (which I don't need to do because I did that yesterday) or close the pop-up.
When I close the pop-up it just opens up again each time.
When I check the quarantine vault, there isn't even any file related to the claimed problem of:
SMB:CVE-2017-0144 [Expl]
The AVG pop-up window is on top of everything and I can't get rid of it.
If I can't solve this, I can't easily use my computer and will just have to give up on AVG and delete the program.
I had no such warning before yesterday's AVG update which needed a reboot.
I am running Windows 7 and have all the Microsoft security updates.
I uninstalled AVG and reinstalled it and it is happening again.
With your popup ending up on top of whatever page, or tab I open, including my desktop you are making my computer just about unusable. Whenever this is closed, the popup reopens.
Here are copies of the popup, the AVG version and the empty quarantine page this item(s) are supposed to go into.
I have just tried posting the images from my computer but your system is demanding it be from a webpage so I can't post them.
I'm sorry to hear about this, please share a screenshot of the AVG detection (pop up) to assist you further (now you can attach/post the screenshots).
Best regards,
Alok.
