Since using PC Tune Up, contacts data lost from eM Client program

Hello Robert,

This isn't the expected behavior.
Let us enable "standard mode" in PC TuneUp and check the status.
Open AVG PC TuneUp dashboard and click on the symbol as marked in the below image.

Check the status after enabling the standard mode.
Thanks.

I am unable to do that as those buttons are hidden by an "Upgrade Now" banner. I have only (short term) basic protection.  I did not continue past the "Free" period because of this problem.

Set to Passive Mode, shut down and rebooted. Tried eM Client - fault still exists. Reverted back to Normal Protection

I have a Win7 Lenovo Laptop.  I use eM Client to manage my email. Since using AVG PC Tune Up my eM Client has lost connection with the Contacts data stored in the relevant folder on the C drive. I have checked and can see the files are still there but the link must have been corrupted.
The only changes to the computer since I last accessed my contacts has been the installation of PC Tune Up.

I have used Tune Up once only. I do not recall putting any programs into sleep mode

Robert,

Could you share the screenshot
http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Create-screenshot of your AVG PC Tuneup interface to check with it?

Let us know if you have optimized your PC using Tuneup. Have you put any programs into sleep mode?

We actually requested the screenshot of AVG PC TuneUp and not AVG Antivirus free.
Your AVG TuneUp - Unlimited Devices (1 month subscription) already expired on 7th August 2018. Hence, you are getting upgrade message on PC TuneUp interface.
Try disabling AVG Antivirus free and check whether you are able to connect with the contacts.
Open AVG Antivirus free interface. Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Troubleshooting–>Passive Mode".
Slide the cursor available near it to turn off the protection temporarily.
Keep us informed about the status.

Set to Passive Mode, shut down and rebooted. Tried eM Client - fault still exists. Reverted back to Normal Protection

Robert, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Thank you for the information.
We can confirm that AVG Antivirus program isn't causing the trouble.
Proceed to uninstall AVG PC TuneUp as mentioned in this http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 article which will revert the changes that you made using TuneUp.
Keep us informed about the status.
