Sketchy looking Avast.com inside AVG

Hello Greg.
We'd be glad to clarify this.
There is nothing to be worried. Avast has acquired AVG now and they are under same roof now. Both antivirus software run on same Engine.

My appligies for not using the same thread/I don't know how?
How safe is it for two companies to work on the same product and not tell thier customers?
I am worried AVG was merger/take over by a different internet security company and I did not recieve any notice at all!  Where can I find the press releases? How long ago did this happen?
Has this happed to other companies/Is this common?
Should cutomers be made aware before hand?

I opened up "AVG file location" to find a file from (Avast.com emoji) labled "AvConsent". Iam prevented from accessing even as Administrator.
This looks to me like a rival internet security company uncovered a vulnerability within AVG software and used it to hijacked my desktop PC then hijacked all of my browsers preventing me access to the internet and shutting me down.  I could not find any other cause.
What is this file inside AVG file location/why Iam I denied access/ Should I be worried?

As informed, Avast has acquired AVG but both the Companies and their products and and support work seperately.
You can check this link for the offical press release by the Avast in their website : https://press.avast.com/avast-announces-agreement-to-acquire-avg-for-13b
