Problem system: Windows 10 Home x64

I am trying to use Android VLC to anonymously connect to a shared folder on my Windows 10 PC (with AVG installed)

the pop-up says that it blocked SMB:BruteForce, but the source IP is explicitly allowed, and it seems to be doing this even with Remote Access protection turned off.

What's going on?

(VLC is definitely doing something bad here, e.g. Server Browser works fine, but AVG is getting involved, too)
