I did that. The websites are technically accessible now, but they're a complete mess. Look at IMDb on Firefox, and tell me this is in any way acceptable.
(And yes, it returns to normal when I turn AVG off).
Hello Anthony,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused. I understand how important it is to have uninterrupted browsing on a paid plan, so let’s work together to resolve this.
To assist you further, could you please provide the following information:
1. Which device and operating system are you using?
2. Are you experiencing this issue on all websites or only certain ones?
3. Do you see any error messages related to the block? If so, what does it say?
4. Could you share screenshots of any AVG pop-ups or ads that you’re receiving?
Thank you for your patience, and I’m here to ensure we resolve this as soon as possible.
AVG is preventing me from accessing basically any website on either Firefox or Chromr. I turned off "Enable HTTPS scanning" and "Enable QUIC/HTTP3 scanning" in the Web Shield settings, it still doesn't work. I even turned off AVG altogether, and it works briefly. So somehow AVG is doing this after it's turned off? The constant annoying pop-ups are bad enough (on a PAID plan), and now you're doing this kind of crap?
And yes, it is AVG, not my VPN. I viewed the certificate, and the Issuer Name is "Organizational Unit: Generated by AVG AntiTrack for SSL/TLS scanning".
It was working fine a few days ago. Fix this, or I'm cancelling my membership. Too expensive to be worth this nonsense on top of the stupid constant pop-ups.

Hello Anthony,
I hope you're doing well, and I apologize for the delayed response.
My name is Jovana from AVG Customer Care.
I understand you’re experiencing issues with AVG AntiTrack. Rest assured, we’ll do our best to help. My colleague suggested a remote session because it’s often the most efficient way for our team to troubleshoot by connecting directly to your device. However, I completely understand that you may not be comfortable with this option, and that’s perfectly fine.
As an alternative, I suggest trying the steps in the link below. These steps involve reinstalling a specific Windows component, which often helps resolve AntiTrack issues.

If this doesn’t resolve the problem, I recommend reaching out to our support team directly through the link below, as you’re a paid user:
https://support.avg.com/avg/en/ww/home/current/contact
The support team can either connect remotely or guide you through the troubleshooting steps. If needed, they can also gather logs and escalate the case for further investigation.
I hope this clarifies everything and helps resolve the issue.
Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to reach out with any further questions.
