Hello Aeris,

As a temporary fix, We suggest you to temporarily disable your AVG program (http://avgread.me/1GnMD3N) and reinstall the software to add exception for the relevant software in your AVG program (http://avgread.me/18WB2dg) and then report false detection by filling the form https://secure.avg.com/submit-sample .Thank you.
Hi,
If a software is identified as threat under Identity Protection and automatically quarantine,
1. How I may know it is false positive or true infected by IDP.ALEXA.51
2. After quarantine, I can't use the software anymore, is it mean that I need to totally uninstall the software and re-install again?
3. Some .exe after quarantine, if I identified it as false positive, how can I restore it? What should I do if it not allowed to be restore with warning of "Access is denied"?
Thanks.
Hello Aeris,
Please be informed that some of the trusted websites and applications which you are using for multiple years or months could be detected as infections. Such applications will be categorized under the false positive. The incorrect detection can be also caused by an outdated virus database. To update to the newest one, open your AVG program and select “Update” or the “Protection is up-to-date” button. The update process may take some time. After the update is finished, see if the harmless site or is still being detected as malicious by running the scan. If you are still facing the false positive issues you can report it under our official website using the instructions on the article http://avgread.me/2ahGOMv so that it will be escalated to our concerned department.
Thank you.
Hi Rajarajan,
May I know how to judge the detection is false positive or truely infected? I would like to protect my identity too but also to avoid mistakenly quarantine.
Thanks
