Hello Roy,
I regret to inform that the AVG add-in for Outlook is removed in the latest version.
Your emails are still protected, however, this add-in removed.
The same features are available from AVG settings under the "AntiSpam" components.
Good morning
At least I have forced some sort of response from AVG over all this, albeit one which doesn't tell me very much, I'm afraid. What mechanism is there for raising this complaint to a senior management level, please, as I asked in my email?
I note that this same issue happened at the end of 2017, and took a few months to resolve. I trust it will not take so long this time. There are at least three strings on this site with a number of users reporting these same problems, so it is pretty widespread. In the meantime, your Outlook users are lacking an important part of your product, nd (as I mentioned before) we had to discover this change ourselves, rather than being proactively told by AVG.
I appreciate your concerns re: my patience, but I am afraid that it is by no means an unlimited resource. I (and others) would like to see some tangible progress with all this. Can some sort of timeline for resolution please be provided, in terms of how long we can expect to wait (ie days, weeks, months or never), so that I can decide whether to apply for a refund, and leave AVG?
Thank you
Regards
Ken
Ken, we'd like to confirm that all your emails have been received and your issue is currently being analyzed by our level 3 technical team.
They will get back to you with further details at the earliest. Appreciate your patience.
I have lost the blacklist/whitelist buttons in Outlook 2016 and cannot get them back. I have uninstalled spam filter in AVG but still nothing. The only thing that appears in add-ins is the antivirus option and when I check the box nothing happens.
Hello Karthikeyan
Very interesting, and most disappointing. I have tried to pursue this since the recent update via support over the past two days, but didn't even receive the courtesy of a response. It is a pity that as customers we weren't informed of this 'improvement' to your product!
I'm afraid that (for me at least) your comments regarding 'The same features are available from AVG settings under the "AntiSpam" components' are just not true. If they were, then why are emails from Blacklisted addresses STILL arriving in my Inbox and not being automatically diverted to my Junk E-mail folder? Are you really sure this feature is meant to be working, because it isn't for me!
I have a long-standing issue with all this (most recently under case no 07712646). I had contact with your 'senior team' from 28th December, but with no resolution. Petr (from that time) clearly also didn't seem to know that the Outlook Add-in was going to be disabled, or I'm sure he would have mentioned it. This is very, very poor customer engagement and support.
Who do I complain to about all this? More importantly, how do I go about getting a solution to this VERY long-standing issue?
Grateful for some timely and useful advice, please, or I will go elsewhere for AV protection.
Regards
Ken

Ken, since it is being analyzed by our developers, we will not be able to provide the exact time-frame at this moment.
We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.

Ok thank you very much. Pity it has been removed as I found it useful.
