Spurious update?

Hello Steve,
Sorry, it shouldn't be any scam popup.
We are sure that it is our legitimate campaign popup to try our latest multidevice program.
However, to confirm this we request you to take a screenshot of the popup if it appears again and send it here so.
If you aren't sure on how to take a screenshot, please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV and attach the image to this post.
Just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hi. I had a pop-up message on screen this morning, offering a free update for my AVG Internet security and without thinking, I clicked to accept. Part-way through the download, I realised that the message perhaps didn't come from AVG, so I cancelled the download. opened my usual AVG window and checked for updates. No updates offered, my protection is apparently up to date. So, have I just narrowly avoided some scam or does AVG have a genuine update to offer?
