Start up failure

Hello everyone,

I was doing some cleaning up and optimising my PC using AVG, it was detected there may be an error with my C: drive and was reccomended  "fix it" by restarting and have the scan to check for disk errors. Everything was running smoothly up till now.

After some time the scan ended my computer restarted then I was stuck in an automatic repair loop. I can't even go into safe mode to back anythung up to format. Everytime I try to go into safe mode it restarts and goes back into this loop. This all only happened after I scanned my C: drive as it was working fine up till now and did numerous restarts.

Why has this happened and what can be done?

Many thanks.

Hello Hilt,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please be informed that the AVG PC TuneUp repair disk scanning process takes few hours to get completed.
Until it is completed, we shouldn't interrupt the process by restart or shut down of the PC.
We can easily cancel the scanning progress for which please follow the instructions as mentioned in this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Disk-scan-stops-at-27-after-using-AVG-PC-TuneUp .
