Hi Bal,
i borrowed a laptop to download that remover file, and did run the remover.exe; however, my computer cannot boot windows anymore that I'm trying to reset my computer now.
Thank you,
KT
Hey guys. I had the same problem with a Dell laptop, AVG Business Edition, and a Logitech mouse. I unplugged the mouse from the laptop and it booted up just fine. I then moved the wireless mouse receiver to a different USB port, which caused a driver reinstall. After that, it boots up with the mouse installed just fine.

tengo el mismo problema y no puedo iniciar sesion ya que se tilda y tampoco puedo presionar f8 para volver a un punto de restauracion anterior que puedo hacer
Two laptops in my shop had this and I got a tip from AVG CC that led me to the solution. Both had Logitech adapters for a mouse. This turned out to be the problem. Logitech drivers plus Win 10 anniversary update plus AVG = Watch Dog Black Screen.
Remove Logitech USB adapter. Holding down the power button in the middle of rebooting brought up the Start Up Repair screen from which I was able to get to safe mode. Then uninstall AVG. Run removal tool. Reboot back to normal. Run the SetPoint – Logitech Support + Download software. After installation I was able to plug back in the Logitech adapter (at which time it acquired the different drivers from Setpoint) and reinstall AVG as normal. Several reboots and no problems.
I seem to have the exact same problem as well.
However, I can't even boot windows into safe mode using any of the suggested methods.
Zara M, was your problem resolved, and if it is, how did you manage to do it?
I got a PC with same problem and all you write is greatfull… thx. but can i install AVG free edition again or will the same problem start again, and will you fix the problem in AVG or should I out looking for other antivirus program ??
thx Thomas DK
Hello Robin,
We are sorry to know that you are facing the same issue.
Have you tried booting your PC into safe mode by following the instructions provided initially?
May I know the name of AVG program installed on your PC and mention whether it is free, trial or paid version?
Has this problem been resolved? I got the same screen this morning and am now having problems with some of my programs. Has AVG posted a solution to preventing that screen?
After searching in internet i found this video helpful to restart PC in safe mode
