Hello Shawn,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. We checked your account details and found you have purchased AVG Protection multi device. Please have a look at the steps in this article ( http://avgclick.me/ActivateZen ) to activate your AVG successfully. Thank you.
One of the reasons I bought AVG is because it said it still handled XP and this machine is one.
I've purchased AVG Pro (unlimited devices and after my free trail expired) and it says "Buy now" Your trial expires in 27 days" and continues counting down every day. ??? What the heck? I bought, it updated-looked fine then I thought?, it required a reboot and now shows this all the time. There appears to be nowhere to enter a code or do anything else except buy what I've already bought? Waited on tech support (supposedly free) which finally forced me to a voice mail after waiting an ungodly amount of time.
The menu shows all full circles with a checkmark on each.....and 27 days and counting...lol
Additionally it detected an ethan virus on an old archived file. It won't delete. It can't seem to handle getting it off my system or deleting it. Log says file is signed by a broken digital signature and won't delete it (even in explorer)
Just FYI-Frustering menu folks and option set folks.

Ok, it is XP SP3.
Ok, instructions done. Still have 27 days and counting (no difference? except I'm connected to...zen or something??)
This has been a fiasco. I have apparently selected some other similiar "package" of all the dang packages AVG has. It apparently isn't the one intended with the free trail I was using.
When I hit buy when my trial ended it open up internet explorer (old version). I filled out all the forms and it wouldn't take (dns error) and just cause me to refill out the entire order over and over. Soooo...I took the link cut and paste and tried in firefox(new browser). It got me further, but ended up on a screen for purchase that said my password didn't meet "requirements". But it works fine to log in on the account I created at AVG!! lol
So I logged into avg with my supposedly deficient password and reset my password to something more robust to make the order form happy. Filled EVERYTHING out AGAIN. That got me a little further in Mozilla, but then I lost the 20% discount...(what the heck!!) So then I just google avg pro and tried that and the purchase form work perfect (I thought). Fail... It must not have been avg pro?
I'm so frustered with this silly stuff, bad programing broken webpages and forms. I've wasted hours just trying to buy the wrong product...lol
Is there just a refund option at this point....or is that option in the eternal hold phone line.
