Open AVG Internet Security installed on your computer, Click on "Menu->Settings->General->Privacy->uncheck "Show campaign pop ups for other AVG products".

This should stop the advertisement pop-ups.

I tried doing what you said, but I am still getting advertising pop ups occasionally. Is there any way to stop them completely?

These pop ups are generated from the expired AVG PC TuneUp program on your PC. Click this link for steps to uninstall AVG PC TuneUp if you do not want to renew it.

I keep getting advertising pop ups appearing on my screen periodically from AVG Internet Security. I want to stop these because they are annoying, but I can't see how to do it in my account. Please can someone advise how to do this?
