Stop Enhanced Firewall from blocking opening Word e-mail attachments

Here's a screenshote of the pop-up:

The two other images appear when I close the AVG popup.  I can save the file, but can only open it when I select "Edit" not "Open.  I wonder if this something to do with Worr doc files, not docx?

For the last few days, when I try to open a MS Word attachment to an Outlook e-mail in my inbox, I get a big black pop-up labeled AVG Enhanced Firewall .  Sometimes even if I check allow, I get a system pop-up that says, "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application." Even if I turn the AVG off until the next restart, I get that message.  AVG Firewall is OK, but the enhanced firewall is a pain and needs to be stopped forever.  How do I permanently get to stop preventing opening Word e-mail attachments.
