Strange https-traffic

Hello Augustus,

We have escalated this to our senior level team and awaiting for a suggestion. Once we get a reply will post it here.
Your patience is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Augustus,
AVG is actively communicating with our servers - licenses, information about updates, etc. are being exchanged. AVG is CZ company hence some of the connections lead to CZ.
Please feel free to contact us.
Thank you.

After installation of an intercepting https proxy (squid) between my Win7 running AVG and the internet, I see quite a lot of strange entries in my logfile:
1453992710.231      1 192.168.182.1 TAG_NONE/200 0 CONNECT 193.85.216.229:443 - HIER_NONE/- -
1453992717.505      1 192.168.182.1 TAG_NONE/200 0 CONNECT 193.85.216.233:443 - HIER_NONE/- -

As these IPs are located in CZ, I suspect AVG to do something in the background. What is going on here ?
