Stuck on 99% with 3 viruses (or 1) found

Simon,
Sorry for the inconvenience, could you collect screenshots of detection by following this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361 and OS version by following this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201260  . To find out the AVG version you can follow user manual, part 4.3. Menu in the task bar

- As full path of detection is not fully visible from UI very often, please provide us with the full path. You can copy the path by right click on the detection path and paste it to any text file by standard way. Awaiting your reply, thank you.

Hi Simon,
To analyze the issue further, I need to submit your concern to our senior technicians along with other diagnostic logs.
I have sent you an email with steps on how to collect and upload the data required for analyzing your issue. Please check your inbox and spam/junk folder as well.

I am running AVG free on a Mac.

It gets to 99% and stays there.

The dashboard reports that it has found three viruses but when I click on the Details button it reports that it has only found 1 virus.

I have tried un-installing & re-installing the s/w.

Any ideas what I should do now?

Thanks for replying so promptly. I tried reponding to the email but got a response saying, "Please reply to the original AVG email without editing the subject line so that we can process your request." I didn't change the subject line which simply said, "Re: Re: (AVG Technologies): New reply to your question." :frowning:

Not sure what screenshots you want, but hopefully the one I've posted above will cover it. I’ve attached…

1. Dashboard – Showing 99% and ‘3 Threats found’
2. Details screen – Showing 99% and 1 threat found.
3. About This Mac.
4. About AVG AntiVirus
5. Quarantine – Holding Cycbot-gen

I have aborted the scan and moved the one virus it listed (not three as shown on the dashboard) to the vault.
I’ve had an idea. I have stopped Time Manager running in case that’s affecting AVG AntiVirus and I am running the Mac Scanner again – it's been running since about 8am (it's now almost 4pm) and is currently at 95%.
