We are sorry to know that. You can close the AVG pop-up from "Task Manager". If the issue persists, we suggest you to restart the computer and see if that fix the issue.

I figured how to close that annoying pop up. using "Process Explorer" from system internals. once you get to popup, open Process Explorer and right under help menu you will see "traget, cross hair" , using left mouse button click and drag to the popup and you will notice a white box around the popup, then relase the left mouse click. doing so will point out which process the popup is using. from that point the ONLY option you can do to close that pop up is right click > window > close!
You CAN'T kill the process or terminate it, the ONLY way is to right click > window> close. and that will close that annoying popup.

I keep getting this annoying popup. Nothing happens when i click on the "X". there is no way for me to close it .

I am using the Free version. I beleive i have been using AVG since 2003 and I never had any issues until lately with the pop-up shown in the above screen shot. I also beleive it is against law to have easter eggs in softwares. why can't i simply click on the "X" to dismis the ad you presenting.

Please refrain from using my first name. use my initals RI thank you. Below is a link to a snap shot i took for the pop up. i have tried many times to restart , but it come right back after few minutes from restarting my PC.
I am unable to terminate it from task manager nor via any other tool i.e taskkill from cli or system internals process explore!
I have also un-checked notification option from AVG appearance setting.
I still recive the pop-up and it consuming a 1/4th of my screen which is very annoying
