Subscription renewal and updates

As I understood it my previous subscriptionto AVG Internet Security was upgraded by my move to AVG Ultimate.  This still does not explain the series of messages telling me I was updated long before the debit to my account, that debit taking place 2 weeks before renewal date and repeated messages telling me unable to update.
Since earlier messages I have now received this message…

    6. I was asked screenshot to check if your AVG Internet Security/AVG PC TuneUp is working after. After checking to the screenshot of your AVG User Interface, I would have answered your all initial questions. Regarding the AVG Ultimate due on the 24th December, The previous subscription is AVG Ultimate is going to expire on 2017-12-24, you have to activate your existing/installed AVG Internet Security/AVG PC TuneUp. You can follow the instruction to activate your installed AVG Ultimate.

I'm sorry to hear about this. From your account, I see that you have AVG Ultimate, expires on 12/24/2018. Please share a screenshot of the AVG User Interface to assist you further.

My renewal for AVG Ultimate is due on the 24th December. 
Since mid November I have received messages saying firstly that my subscription has been renewed or more recently that renewal had failed… 
When opening Windows I have had messages saying that my protection is out of date.  When clicking on that message to update it  I have always received an error message.   Running AVG directly from its icon says that I am fully protected however the Virus Definition has remained weeks/months out of date !  Clicking update button does not resolve this.
Checking Subscription details…    it says that I need to renew now - but then I noticed you are inviting me to renew for December 2018  not this month in 2017  This is NOT ethical practice ; dare I say it is sharp practice not to make it absolutely clear that you are inviting early renewal when you haven't even renewed for the current date !!!
Checking my bank account you have now debited my account (11th December) - TWO weeks before my actual renewal date 
Today on the 13th December I still received a messages each time I logged on to tell me my protection is out of date - finally when I ran the program for the third time today it indicated updated virus protection as well as scanning.
There seems to be an ADMINISTRATIVE problem with subscriptions and updates during the period leading up to renewal.

I'm sorry about that. I was asked AVG User Interface screenshot to see if your AVG Internet Security is a latest version and to see if AVG Internet Security is updated. However, I'll answer your all questions. 1. From your account, I see that your AVG Ultimate subscription was renewed automatically on 2017.12.9 which is why you may have received the message saying your AVG Ultimate program had been renewed.
2. Your AVG Protection which is AVG Internet Security may not be synchronized with new AVG Ultimate subscription after their renewed. (1/2)

Thank you for your response but you have not addressed the points I raised.
Thank you for confirming my 2018 renewal date which I already knew but the problem was regarding the renewal for 24 December 2017
1. Why did I receive a message to say that the program had been renewed?
2. Why did I get subsequent messages that the protection was out-of-date ?
AND
3.then that my renewal had apparently been refused?   But looking carefully this refers to the NEXT renewal in 2018 !!
4.Why was I not able to update the program for several weeks?  Virus Definition had reached one month
The issue appears to have been resolved automatically today, 13th December. 
5. Why has my account been debited for the renewal on the 11th December - i.e 2 weeks early (not a problem in itself providing the service continues, but…  ) 
6. a screenshot of the AVG User Interface?  whatever that is… and what purpose will it now serve as the program now appears to have updated itself?
