Suddenly, Yahoo Mail no longer supported on AVG Secure Browser

So I'm asking again over a week later----based upon my circumstances as previously stated, will I be able to access Yahoo Mail as I always have been able to through my AVG Secure Browser?  The most recent answer from Dinesh seems to indicate that a problem has been identified and is supposedly being worked on on your end, which would make sense to me since, as I've repeatedly stated, nothing changed on this end during the 10 AM hour on the day the problem started, and from which it has unfortunately and very dissapointingly continued.  What can I expect?

DO WHAT?!?!?  WHERE???  HOW???
VERY disappointed with AVG!  To think I recommed this program to all my older relatives because of it's SIMPLICITY!!!

"Check the AOL mail"?!?!  WHY?!?!   Are you working on an actual solution for YAHOO mail???

I am experiencing David's exact problem…and it is now JULY 13th…one MONTH later.  (And yes, David…it happened everywhere.  I had just received a new computer with WIN 11 and thought THAT was the issue, so I went back to my Win 7 and found it there also.  Thanks to you, I now know the switch had nothing to do with it.)  Would LOVE an update…or at least a temp fix I can understand enough to APPLY!

Hello David,

We regret the inconvenience this has caused you.
Please share us a screenshot of the "Latest version of Yahoo mail is no longer supported in your AVG Secure Browser" message you've received and specify whether you have AVG Antivirus or any other antivirus software installed in your computer.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Awaiting your response.

I have been having the exact same problem that Lawrence Cook reported on May 23, and since around the same time.  Yahoo Mail is what I have, but the message referring to AOL Mail no longer being supported by AVG Secure Browser is the same. Happened suddenly from one hour to the next.  Will only let me proceed in less-helpful basic mail on AVG, yet it works and looks the same through Google or Firefox.  What was the help offered to Mr.Cook, as it might be of use to me and others, as well.

Hi Ronnie,

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please write back to us in your own/new post (https://support.avg.com/support_ask), so that we can locate your account, obtain further details and help you accordingly.
Thank you for understanding in advance!

Hi Angel,

We understand your frustration. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have had & we're truly sorry for the discomfort caused.
As my colleague has mentioned earlier, we're aware of this ongoing issue and our developers are currently working on a permanent fix.
Meanwhile, please follow the below workaround solution and check if the issue persists:

  1. Open AVG Secure Browser.
  2. Put this command in to address/URL bar secure://flags/ and hit enter key.
  3. Change the Force removing brand part from the User-Agent to Enabled. Refer to this screenshot.
  4. Relaunch AVG Secure Browser and try to load your Yahoo webmail.

Thank you for understanding in advance!

FYI for future readers:

I opened a "New Private Mode window" and my Yahoo! mail opened in the regular format–no more Basic!  YAY!!!    (click the 3 vertical dots upper right on browser bar)

David…hope this works if you haven't yet found another solution.

Hello David,
Thank you for the reply.
We are extremely sorry for the trouble caused.
We have a temporary fix for the issue.
Please follow the below step and see if that helps.
Please change the Force removing brand part from the User-Agent to Enabled in the secure://flags/ section.
But soon we will come up with a permanent fix, our developers are working on it.
We request your patience until then.
We will certainly help.
Thank you.

Hi David,
Thank you for the screenshot.
Is that you still get the same error after the reinstallation?
Please let us know if you had  checked the windows update and reinstalled the AVG Secure browser.

Also, share us your windows operating system version.
Thank you and keep us updated.

We do understand your concern, David.
Upon checking with the availble sources, it seems that there is an ongoing issue & it has been already reported to the relevant team. They're currently working on it to fix it shortly. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

When I try now to download AVG Secure Browser anew from your website, it basically tells me that it will not be possible to do so because this computer needs to be operating with Windows 10 or newer.  It unfortunately only still has Windows 7, and because of financial constraints, it has not been possible to update to a newer version.  But how does this explain why Yahoo Mail was suddenly no longer supported through my AVG Secure Browser?  What changed that recent day literally within an hour's time----between 10 and 11 AM?  My Yahoo Mail looked and worked just as it always had using Windows 7 and through AVG Secure Browser during that 10 AM hour, and yet it wouldn't do so just one hour later.  Again, what changed during that hour's time?  Nothing on this end, as far as I can understand.  As for the other people who have been posting that they too have suddenly and around the same time been having similar problems accessing Yahoo or AOL Mail accounts as before----So do THEY have older versions of Windows also that for some reason were very suddenly not good enough?  If that's not the case, then how can this problem that we're all suddenly and basically simultaneously having be blamed on the need to update OS?
