I could not find a suitable category to announce this in so I chose AVG Protection since my question was to AVG Support about a possible threat from the ISP which I hold a paid up account with.
Here goes...first off, why doesn't the Chat window open when I click the URL sent from AVG Support via email?
What I have done to resolve this issue:
- Attempted to access the chat session as requested via the URL sent via email (no result)
- Turned off the AVG VPN in case the IP assigned is being blacklisted. (no change in result)
- Replied to AVG email letting Support know that this is not working.
- Received another email about a new chat session has been created and click the URL (no change in result)
- Cleared browser cache and reattempted with no change result
- Sent email with a screen shot about what happens when attempting to connect to new session with no change result ...chat window still hangs.
So, now ...how do I get support in a timely manner regarding a possible threat since now the threat is past 24 hours since it began? Baring in mind the threat was caused by the ISP (Internet Service Provider) for which I hold an account with. The ISP in question refuses to answer my questions and informs me that it's my problem "not their end" REALLY!!
I suspect it's the ISP which is blocking the browser from reporting this issue ...I wouldn't be surprised if this question never gets to succeed once I click the "Post question" button. Feeling very insecure now that it's been 24 hours. HELP!!
