Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Issue not solved.
No other anti-virus / protection programme is having this issue therefore I am discontinuing AVG.

Thank you and goodbye.

B. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue
C. At the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow

When the scan is complete, verify whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved. Thank you.

My scans have recently taken a dislike to system file SysWOW64/msf45.dll, which is part of the system restore files, calling it a corrupted executable file. As it is a protected OS file, the scan cannot delete it and leaves me stuck with AVG Scanning Core Module Server Part using 33% of my CPU trying to complete an impossible task. It won't even stop through Task Manager and just carries on after a reboot.
I have uninstalled AVG using the remover tool and installed the latest version, but it is still happening.

HELP!

Hello Christina,
We are sorry to heart about that. It seems the file msf45.dll is not a valid Microsoft file. There is a valid Microsoft file with name Mfc45.dll. We request you to check the digital signature of the SysWOW64/msf45.dll file. Thank you.
