Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for mail@mysite.' reported error (0x80048

Hello

I can take a screensht.

The send receive simply hangs and does not connect.

Is there a way I can upload the prodcut without the email protection - because that appears to be the problem which keeps recurring!

This is VERY basic stuff -

The problem has recurred.

I try this link and get an error saying the signature is corrupt or invalid.

Please advise on a permanent fix?

Hello Mike.
Sorry to hear about that. We would request you to disable AVG temporarily ( http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG ) and check if the issue is resolved. Thank you.

Suddenly AVG is interfering with my Outlook 2013 and stopping the sending a receipt of message:

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for mail@mywebsite.com.' reported error (0x80048002) : 'This task was cancelled before it was completed.'

Can anyone help?

tnx
B) Use the Firewall Diagnostics tool

-Click here download.avg.com/filedir/util/avgfwdiag2014_en.exe to download the file avgfwdiag2014_en.exe.
-Open the downloaded file, and then click Install. A text file with instructions and a window with the AVG Firewall Diagnostic files will open in a few moments.
-Open the file avgfwdiagx.exe. A console window will open.
-In the console window type "5", and then press Enter. The tool will collect diagnostic information.
-Once all files are collected, a window with the diagnostic file will open. The file name is typically "avgfwdiag_[date]_[time].zip".
-Attach the diagnostic file to your response to this email.
Please send us the diagnostic file from the Firewall Diagnostics tool and inform us about running the AVG Diagnostics tool.
Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance. Thank you.

Hello Mike,
Thank you for trying out the steps. We appreciate your valuable effort in trying to fix it.
After disabling AVG and if you still have the same issue, then we request you to contact Microsoft support for help.
Since we are not trained in this domain, we request you to contact Microsoft support. Thank you for understanding.

Hello Mike,
We understand your concern. But we need the sysinfo details to analyze the issue you are facing.
When the AVG SysInfo tool doesn't work correctly, please take the following steps to send us the diagnostic information needed to provide you with a solution.
Please follow the steps A) and B) to send us the diagnostic information.

A) Use the AVG Diagnostics tool

- Click here download.avg.com/filedir/util/runner_en.exe to download the file runner_en.exe .
-Open the downloaded file, and then click Install. An AVG diagnostic window and a text file with instructions will open in a few moments.
-Fill in the email address you have used to contact us, and a description of the issue. If you have any files you would like to attach to the diagnostic message, click Attach file.
-Once you fill in all information, click Diagnose and send results. The tool will collect the diagnostic information and submit them to AVG.
So I switched off all the services - which made no difference - but my understanding of Outlook support on this issue suggests removing altogether the email protection.

Also its seems an extreme resolution for a non tech like me:

I like the idea of having email protection I paid for - actually working!

Thank you for providing the information.
In this case, we have sent you an email with further instructions to be followed to get our additional support.
Please check for the email on spam or junk folders if it is not present in the inbox.

Glad to know that your email issue got resolved after reinstalling AVG.
What is the exact message that appears on the Identity component?
Did you update your AVG program and restart your computer once?
If not please try it and do let us know the status of it.

The problem has recurred.

I try this link and get an error saying the signature is corrupt or invalid.

Please advise on a permanent fix?

Could not finish automatic state repair

we werent able to fix one or more compenents.....etc
Hello

When I removed AVG altogether - the emails worked again. I paid for the mail feature to work as well.

I would have thought that having a cure for this would be in the interest of all concerned including yourselves - so you should seek a cure also.

Your aswer is a little irresponsible in my view.
Hello Mike.

Hi

I would not allow a remote technician to view my PC messing around with settings [ respectfully]. Fiddling around with my system files has always proved  destabilising in my experience.

Please update the software with a patch.

Judging from reports - this has been a problem for some time now - & really should be part of your script wide maintenance as standard!

Goodness!
Hello Mike,

If you had used the link that is provided in previous post and installed AVG free antivirus then the version is definitely 2016.
You can also check for the version of AVG by clicking on "Support" on AVG program dashboard.
In the support window click on Product information, in that you can see the version.
So you mean that your issue got resolved after reinstalling AVG?
Hello

No. I used my orginal link - when I bought the script.

Version: 16.31.7357
set up version: 1.52.1.51612 ....& a myriad other baffling numbers!

The problems has resolved - but as is always the way with these matters a new problem has appeared.

The "Identity" section of the script is not working correctly. It wont fix using your tools.

Surely an update is required which patches this.

Fiddling with scripts manually desatbilises PCs in my experience.
