I do not understand how this is, but the User Interface on the AVG AntiTrack I just installed on my new Laptop is entirely different than the one on my other two PCs. And it doesn’t give me any options to add AntiTrack to any browsers besides edge. I downloaded the AntiTrack from my AVG subscription page.
All PCS are up-to-date Windows 11 PCS, none more than 2 years old.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I think that it is garbage for the Anti Track update requiring download from the Microsoft Store. I hoped AVG Subscribers like us would get products from AVG itself.
This seems irrelevant. Also, I cannot find anywhere in the Microsoft store to download it.
The one I am having problems with is downloaded from AVG.
I have been going back and forth in chat with AVG with no solution.
That’s an interesting issue. It sounds like the new installation may be a newer version of AVG AntiTrack with an updated interface, or perhaps a different build that changes how browser integration is handled. It would be worth checking whether the application is fully updated and if the browser extensions need to be installed separately. Hopefully someone from the AVG team or another user who has experienced the same behavior can clarify why only Edge is being detected.
Turns out, the idiots have “updated” the entire ANTI-TRACK.
- No longer support Opera browser even though it is Chromium based, and it is widely used. I have used Opera for years!
- No longer allow user to white-list sites within the app; major issue for me.
- Unclear if they do or do not require browser extension.
Is a true POS now! Removed it from the new PC. Set my other two PCs so they no longer automatically update it.
The new interface as of June 2026 is shocking. Whereas the old version was completely intuitive, I’m not even sure what the new version is actually doing. When I cleared data in the past, AntiTrack would close the appropriate browser. Doesn’t seem to do that now. And there’s some BS about adding and activating browser extensions, which I never needed previously. Can’t even roll back to the old version. WTF? I’ll probably uninstall this nonsense and go elsewhere. AVG - I paid you money for this. What did you spend it on?
100% correct. It is a freaking disaster! I turned off all automatic software updates on all my AVG products if this is the way they are going. Their lack of support for Opera browsers, fifth most popular browser, is insane!
