Contacted your people in Manilla and (at some considerable expense) they sorted it and all seems to be fine now, thanks. Uninstalled, reinstalled and competing antivirus programmes removed.
However, it tells me that my web tune up is not activated and although I click to restart browser it still shows the not activated orange level warning.
Thoughts?

Switched on computer and AVG Free not working. Told me there were no active components. Clicked to turn it on and confirmed I trusted the supplier. Nothing happened. Went to install Pro. Seemed to be going but then said failed citing error code0xC0070426. Very nice bloke on chat line couldn't fix it, couldn't get hold of tech department and said they would get back to me in three working days. If my computer is safe to use without AVG for three days, why bother with AVG? Can someone guide me as to what's wrong and how to fix it a bit quicker? I'm totally tech illiterate by the way!

We are happy to know that your is resolved. Regarding this AVG Web TuneUp. Please check if Internet Explorer or Google Chrome set as your default browser. If not, please set any of these browser as default and then try to enable Web TuneUp extension from the browser addon.
