Hello Ral. Have you tried to run AVG Remover tool to uninstall AVG completely from your PC? Please click this link to download AVG Remover tool and run it. http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe

Then, follow these steps to download and install AVG Anti virus 2015 Free.

1.Visit "http://www.avg.com/download-file-dm-afh".
2.Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
3.Follow the instructions on your screen.  
4.Complete the installation and restart your computer.

Hi,

I installed Free AVG 2014 some time ago and it seemed to install properly.  When I request a computer scan, it says "There are no active device components".  Since there is now a Free AVG 2015, I downloaded and tries to install it but but installation fails with the message "setting of firewall registry keys failed".  Even when I deactivate the firewall, it still fails.  So I am left with no protection at all.

What I would like best would be to install 2015 properly.  can anybody help?

I am using Windows 7 with Windows firewall.
