Things I miss on the new AVG 2017

Kevin,
Thank you for choosing AVG and taking time to provide your valuable feedback. I have submitted your feedback to our developers. The scan report can not be viewed in the user interface itself with new version. However, to generate a scan report please follow the below steps,(for example: Deep virus scan is considered.)
- Open AVG
- Open Scan setting (symbol of gear, bottom of the window)
- Open Deep Virus Scan setting (symbol of gear, Deep Virus Scan tile)
- Click on "Report file"
- Check "Generate report", fill "Filename" (e.g. AVGScanReport), and check all reported items (Infected items, Hard errors, Soft errors, OK Items, Skipped items)
- Click on "OK" and "OK"

To view the scan report, please follow the path " C:ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus\report".

Regarding your profile name, the first name and last name is mandatory and you can update them with you nickname. Once you logged in, click on "Edit My Settings" under your account name to update the details.

Hi All,

Well I have had the new AVG for a few days now and yes it seems to work very well, I do miss some of the old features.

 1. You used to be able to start and scan and then open a part of the scan program that you could set the pc to should down once the scan was complete.
This was so handy when after working on the pc, you could start a scan, set it to close after the scan and leave the pc to do its work and go home or go to bed.
Sadly that feature does exist now.

Yes you can set it to close down, but that only appears to work on scheduled scans.

2. It was so easy to see reports on what a scan had found and any updates.

Well thankfully AVG internet security is still a good system, but it would be nice to have these features back.

Just one more thing…is there anyway to alter the profile settings so my full name is not shown or even have a nickname ?

Cheers folks
