Hi Hari, 

When I click the Link for 'Updating Virus definitions and AVG AntiVirus application version', I get a 404 webpage?

Any advice?

I keep getting the below pop up, does anybody have an idea of how to stop it?

Jordan, please accept our apologies. As we checked from our end, the link is working. Please follow the below steps to manually update the virus definition and program update.

  • Open the AVG user interface and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  • Ensure General is selected in the left panel and click Update.
  • Click the Check For Updates in both application and virus definition.
  • Wait while AVG checks for application updates.
  • When the update is complete, you see the message Your application is up to date & Virus definitions are up to date.
  • You may need to restart your PC to complete the update. If prompted, click Restart Now to immediately reboot.
After updating it, please check whether the issue is fixed or not.

Hi Hari,

I have gone in and manually updated the virus definition, restarted my PC and the pop up appears to be gone. 

Do you still need me to fill out the false positive with the screenshot as I am happy to do so?
