Three warnings about components out of date, fix now. Fix now does not work

I have had the same problem!!!  "Fix now" then says "successfully updated" but STILL shows the same NOT FULLY PROTECTED message.
My version shows 2015 - so I downloaded 2018 version and removed the 2015 version.
Result = SAME PROBLEM  ++++
plus all my folders have been locked by AVG !!!
EVERY document or photo I try to open says it is "LOCKED FOR EDITING BY UNKNOWN USER"  so now AVG has made my computer USELESS !!!


Ranjani Bakthavachalam, I followed your suggestion to remove all traces of AVG and reinstall the product. It's been four days and, so far, it seems to have eliminated the problem of the daily warnings I was getting that were described by Richard Fredette. I hope your engineers will figure out what triggered the problem and find a better fix than the drastic procedure of wiping out and reinstalling AVG.

If the issue persists, please provide a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the error message. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

For the past three days I have had not fully protected warnings posted on my AVG Ultimate, two concerning computer protection and now one for the web. Updating and fix now features do not work or have any effected. Have tried to contact support via chat and that id a dead end because it never connects with anyone. Need help on this issue and not getting any.

I started having this same problem at the same time. It can't be a coincidence.

I followed the directions to repair AVG and the repair "failed."

What caused the problem? Something that AVG did?

We would like to understand more about the situation. Please remove the traces of AVG using AVG Clear and Remover tool as suggested here:
