We can certainly take a look into this and determine if the issue is due to AVG or not. Are you able to connect your Outlook emails when AVG is disabled temporarily?

Right click on AVG icon under system tray, next to clock and Turn Off your Protection temporarily.

I have a new laptop with windows 10 home. I use thunderbird to see my outlook.com emails which works fine untill I install AVG Ultimate and then it fails to connect my other two emails work fine they are sky.com and gmail
