Hello Christy,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We understand that you want to know about transferring the subscription. We'll certainly check and help you out.
I would like to clarify this to you.
You can activate your subscription on one Windows PC. You can transfer your subscription to an alternative Windows PC, but you cannot use your AVG BreachGuard subscription on more than one PC simultaneously.
For instructions on how to transfer your subscription to another device, refer to the following article:
Transferring an AVG subscription to another device (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Transfer-AVG-subscription)
Our license server has a new feature - LUMP (License Usage Monitoring Platform). LUMP counts all activation attempts in the last 30 days and it will display the number of active devices/activations attempts on your AVG 'My account- used devices'.
If your previous device is not accessible and you have activated the subscription in new device, previous subscription will remove automatically in 30 days. Please be patient until the count reset.
Regarding the AVG Ultimate upgrade, you can reach our support team for upgrade and you need not to cancel the subscription. They will help you with purchase and merge the remaining product & subscription to AVG Ultimate.
You can reach our AVG billing & sales team anytime via chat or voice using this link: https://support.avg.com/avg/en/ww/home/current/contact
After clicking the above link, select Account and Billing -> Purchase and Renewal help ->Get Support -> Voice call or Chat.
Thank you and keep us updated.
Hello,
I have breach guard set up for 1 computer. If this computer breaks and I cannot access it and I get a new PC, can I just transfer my subscription over to new one by simply installing and activating it? Or do I have to cancel my subscription in order to use on new device? I know I read I can transfer it but I cannot use it if it’s active on old device because the system automatically checks for inactive devices after 30 days.
Also, if i were to cancel my VPN and get AVG ultimate, do i just have to cancel the VPN subscription or do i have to cancel both subscriptions in order to get ultimate? I don’t want ultimate right now; but for future reference.
Thank you,
Christy
