I am in the process of setting up a new laptop for my grandfather-in-law, and want to transfer an AVG subscription over.
However, as far as I know, the old laptop can not connect to the internet any more (reason for new one). If we simply use the old activation code on the new laptop, will that be ok since the old laptop won't be trying to access it?
The AVG website says to uninstall AVG from the old computer, which I can do, but i'm worried that this is supposed to 'release' the activation code or something, which won't happen in my case, since there is no way for the old laptop to communicate with the AVG servers.
