These pop ups are caused by an adware application that you downloaded off internet or it could have been bundled with another known software. By default, scan for potentially unwanted programs is disabled in AVG because of its aggressiveness.
Uninstall unwanted software from control panel and also remove unwanted add ons from your browser. Consider resetting your web browser to default settings and let us know if the issue persists.
