Trying to uninstall AVG 2014

I am having exactly the same problem with exactly the same error and as I write this my phone is connected to the help line with no response after the message a consultant will be with you shortly. 
AVG used to provide an excellent fre service but it now is only a detector not a virus protector, so for the first time I pay them now I get nothing at all. I am sure that many others out there have the same experience and don't know what to do . Still no answer on the phone.  Is an AVG  Expert  able to see this message and read it?

Thanks Alan but now I've got another, though apparently similar, problem. I downloaded what you suggested and it did uninstall. So far, so good. But I then tried to re-install AVG Free and the same problem occurred - this time a failed installation!!

Here is the message that popped up:

Error Code: 0xC0070643
Error Message: General Internal error
Additional Message: MSI engine. Failed to Install product.
@AVGMSI_Error27054
Installation failed. (0xE0010032)
Context: AVG product installation. MSI action failed.

So now I don't have anti-virus on my computer as it was successfully removed. But I can't re-install so I'm at risk unless I try another anti-virus product by one of the other companies.

I repeat: please help. Either you, Alan, or someone else. Thank you.

I tried to update my AVG Free 2014 but rec'd msg that there was an error and couldn't update. I decided to uninstall AVG and then re-install but during the uninstallation I rec'd a msg that AVGIDSAgent couldn't be removed. Error no. is 0xCOO70643.

So, can't update and can't uninstall.

Pls help.
