Tune up not finishing when I run it

My computer has gone on go slow (Windows 7) & so I have tried running Tune up at least twice today but each time it has failed to complete. The first time it stopped at 16% & the second time it reached 35% complete and wouldn't go any further, in the end I switched the computer off as Tune up had been running for about 6 hours.  Any thoughts please?

Hi Rakshith, I don't know how but somehow after several more attempts at getting to the bottom of the issue, all apears to be OK now thank you.
