Tuneup Utilities 2014

Hi Roger,

We apologize for the miscommunication.
We will make sure that this doesn't happen again.

Regarding the AVG TuneUp Utilities issue.

TuneUp Utilities is an old product for which the support has ended since Dec 2016, which means there will be no more feature upgrades, no compatibility updates to support newer operating systems such as upcoming Windows 10 releases, no critical security updates and no customer support. The product has reached EOL (End Of Life).

We'd request you to upgrade to AVG TuneUp. Visit https://support.avg.com/support_sales?l=en to contact our sales team to know about latest offers or a possible discount to buy AVG TuneUp.

Meanwhile, we have escalated the case to our Senior team. They are investigating the issue further. We will get back to you with a solution to the issue. Thank you for understanding.

After sending a complaint about the closure of Tuneup Utilities 2014 I received the following response -
'Santhosh (Customer Support) replied to your question at 6:03 PM on 1/4/2021.

Original question:
Like several other people I would like to know why I am no longer able to access Tuneup Utilities 2104. I paid for perpetual use and have not chosen to upgrade.Under the terms of my purchase I should still be able to use the software but as of 1 Jan 2021 this no longer possible. Please restre my connection ASAP.

Who in the hell is Aya - certainly not me.

I tried to reply to the email but it keeps getting kicked back dispite me following the correct procedure. CROOKS

This is unacceptable.
I paid for a full suscription of this software, which is an INTERNAL PC management system, and you have no right to disconnect me.
I am a lawyer and I have fully read your general conditions annexed to the e-mail you sent me at the moment of purchase. There is no indication at all in them of any deadline or of any kind so it's not up to you to invalidate it, for any technical reason whatsoever.
If I haven't received a solution in five days I will proceed in justice to recover mi rights.

It is a generic response, I got the same copy and paste reply over the same issue, they also said they would escalate the issue further.
This has been done intentionally in order to force you to buy their newer product, they have done this illegally, they are not observing the local laws in the countries in which they are trading, they have taken the database of keys that people have purchased for TuneUp Utilities and removed them, and make out that it is a "unexpected issue".

Hi,

I´m in the same situation. Even if you have stopped giving service to this product, we should be able to continue using the product, without being able to update more since you have declared it EOL, since we have paid a license, not a subscription.

It's like people who have windows xp, they no longer support it, but you can still use it if you have a license and you can install it as many times as you want.

Thank you four your time.
