Hello Peter. There are no turbo mode and standard mode feature in AVG Internet Security program. These features are present only in the AVG PC TuneUp program. For your printer issue, please open your AVG Internet Security program–> Click on Firewall component–> Check whether Files and printer sharing options enabled. If it is disabled please enable it. If it is already enabled and still you have the issue with the printer please try the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1IBZduL to add the ip address of your printer to AVG Firewall.

I use the Turbo mode when gaming and I find it to be very useful. However, when I revert back to the Standard mode my wireless printer stops working. To correct this problem I simply reboot. This is however not a convenient solution. AVG please check this out to see if everything is being restored when switching from Turbo to Standard modes. Thank you.
