Thanks for the help and pointing me in the right direction. It looks like I have to uninstall on the old computer, and then install on the new one.

I have a paid for AVG installation, with a licence for two computers. When I renewed, I installed it on my own laptop and our household tower PC. That tower PC had now been replaced with a new laptop - so how do I move the second licence? Do I have to uninstall on the old computer, then install on the new computer? Or can I just install on the new one and that will over-ride the old one? Do I have to get another licence number? I could find no help at all on this issue in the AVG online documentation and am somewhat irritated that as a paying customer it appears the only way I can get help is to ask the user community (no disrepect intended to this eminent forum, but why can't i just mail AVG?)
