Hi Avinash,

Do you mean that I am forced to put up with the overhead of AVG zen when I only fet the AntiVir protection in the free version ?

After selecting 'properties' as you describe above there is no option 'customize', so no drop-down menu, just stuff for taskbar display and to show/hide clock and to show/hide ledd frequently used icons in yhe system tray.

Although I have 2 AVG icons in the system tray one is for the "top level" Zen panel, which shows on  item green, the other three in red, and the other covers antivir/computer, tune up and a couple of other things.  These are all in red.  On clicking the 'computer, this shows 2 things, and if I select antivir, and update I get an error, and it tells me I am not connected, and need to connect    But I am at the time connected to the internet and can access other websites.  How do I perform an ypdate of this ?  What's happening here ?

I am running in this case wINxp 32 hOME

I am using avg free

it "updated " me to zen unknowingly and is unwanted

Only avg antivir is activated or whatever the term is

In my system tray I see two avg icons.  Clicking on each brings up the avg zen panel in each case.
I presume that this means that I have two copies of the program runnung.

How do I terminate one of them ?
