Unable to Access AVG Whitelisting FTP – Requesting Credential Verification and Assistance

Hi AVG Support,

We previously applied to the AVG Whitelisting Program and received FTP credentials to upload files for analysis. However, it seems that our credentials have expired or are no longer working.

Here are the details we’re using:

  • Host: whitelisting.avg.com
  • Username: ftp_exaltps
  • Port: 21

We can establish a TCP connection (confirmed via PowerShell), but the FTP server never responds and times out after about 20 seconds with the message:

“Connection established, waiting for welcome message…”

We’ve tried different FTP clients (WinSCP, FileZilla) and both passive and active mode, but no luck.

Could someone from the AVG team (or Threat Labs) please help us confirm:

  1. Is the FTP server currently online?
  2. Could our IP or region be blocked?
  3. Are these credentials still valid, or do we need new ones?

We’re trying to upload files for the GA release of our VPN product and would appreciate your help getting this resolved as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!
