Hello Christian,

I understand the inconvenience.
Are you using free, trial or paid version of AVG Antivirus?

Ok first of this will be the easiest method. Have a go at the other answers, but if and when they don't work you can do this. ( This is the solution for python and idle - the one you download on the python website or Learn Python Video Course (https://websitelibrary.com.au/videos/learn-python-video) .)

-Uninstall python and idle. Just do it.
-Reinstall python, BUT this time when you do it instead of just clicking continue on all the install pages, there will be a screen which at the bottom says add python to path. Click it. If you don't know what I am talking about then just Google add python to path and click on images. Pip is installed automatically - you have pip. You just cant use it because you didn't added python to path.
-Open CMD and type pip. If a load of text comes up then congrats!

AVG AntiVirus is silently blocking a python 3.6 (64bit) application using shared memory access for interprocess communication that our company developed. Neither adding an exception to python.exe nor adding an exception to the python.exe folder (or to the *.py main file) helped.

The only way to circumvent blocking the shared memory access seems to be to temporarily disable AVG. Neither did deactivating single components like software analyzer or heuristics work.

Any ideas or suggestions?
