Unable to connect to any sites with VPN since latest update!

I changed the connection to Montreal and had the same issue.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the VPN.  Reapplied the license and all seemed well…for about 5 minutes. Suddenly, everything got very slow.  Changed the location to Atlanta.  Same.
I did a speed test through Comcast (my provider) with the VPN ON.  Download speed=43.7 Mbps.
Turned the VPN OFF and did the test again. Download speed=289.1 Mbps.

With the VPN still OFF, did a went to SpeedTest.com and ran a test. DL speed=300.00 Mbps.
Turned the VPN ON. Tried a DL speed test, but it wouldn't even connect.

With the VPN ON, Speakeasy speed test wouldn't load.  VPN OFF, got 293.3 Mbps.

This issue did NOT happen before the latest update, as I stated before. With the VPN on or off, my speed was always very good.

Installed the latest system update for AVG yesterday (10 April) and have since not been able to connect to ANY website while the VPN is turned on. Keep getting "secure connection" messages in Firefox (my preferred browser). Since I have 601 days remaining in my subscription, I would like to continue using the VPN!

Under P2P and Streaming, I tried New York, London, UK (Wonderland), Miami, and Gotham City.  Tried Firefox, Chrome, and IE.  All failed, every time.

The issue happens with Firefox, IE 11 and Chrome as well (just installed today).

I am connecting from Hamburg, Pennsylvania and have always used New York as the VPN location.
