Unable to INSTALL or UNINSTALL error 0xE0010002

None of the above has worked on mine. I have run the uninstaller twice - avg is still there. It won't let me delete the folders and it won't uninstall from the control panel. Please advise where to send the bill for fixing my now knackered laptop because if your shoddy upgrades (and i use that term loosely!)

Hello Eddy,
We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Free Anti virus.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled them from your system, try to follow the steps mentioned below.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the on screen instructions.

I had the same problem, but eventually found a way to delete it. I'm not sure if this will work for you guys, but I'll tell you what I did anyways. I just went to control panel, clicked on programs, clicked programs and features, and right clicked AVG. Instead of clicking the uninstall option, I clicked change. A window should pop up that has the option to click uninstall. Click uninstall then restart the computer after it finishes. Finally go to the files for AVG and it should let you delete them. Hope this works!

Hello, after upgrading to windows 10 avg stopped responding/working correctly and I have tried uninstalling it with the removal tool so that I could install it again to get it back to work, but the removal tool uninstalled the zen file, restarted the laptop and it says it's uninstalled.
then I try installing again and it says there is an error.
AVG is still in the list of programs installed, and if I try to uninstall from there, it gives me error 0xe0010002.

Please advice on how to proceed

Regards

Eddy
