Unable to uninstall

Hi Marlene,
We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you  to remove previously installed AVG traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Protection Free.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee or KASPERSKY  try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link:   http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

My AVG Free Edition updates OK but would not Scan the whole computer - stopped at 1 percent.  Decided to reinstall but it failed Error message Ox 0782.  It stopped at 95 percent and this was ZEN. I now cannot uninstall it so am going round in circles.  Any advice please

  1. Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
    4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
    Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.
