Please note that I have not authorised this payment and in fact the notification for renewal that I received stated that you could not process the payment because my card was blocked or expired. The notifications both in 2020 and in 2019 further requested to click below if I wish to renew - I Did NOT click to renew. So the question is how did avg get to process the payment ? This is unauthorised !!! And in fact fraudulent, I am now going to report this Action Fraud and to the trading standards. From what I see on your communities website I am not the first person this has happened to.

Today I noticed that an unauthorized charge of 74.99 USD was applied to my credit card from Digital River. After contacting the sales support on chat I was told its the annual renewal. I DID NOT
RENEW my subscription in 2018 but was charged in 2019 and 2020. I received no notification in 2019 and 2020 or any email stating that there was a charge.
On further investigations, after i manged to log onto the avg account- whilst chatting to customer support, I find that there was another charge in March 2019 which i did not authorize, a charge in 2017 for the original purchase which I did authorize. As I cancelled my subscription prior to 2018 renewal, I didn't expect to see any charges and indeed in the payment history there were non. The customer support on chat could not provide me with any explanation why there was no charge in 2018 which i explained because the subscription was cancelled. Then this person tells me that the subscription in 2018 was renewed two months after the due date because but they couldn't provide any evidence of this renewal and i could not see it.
Further more I DID NOT RECEIVE any notification nor did i give permission for this renewal. The subscription was CANCELLED two years ago.
Unless I hear from you in the next 5 days I will be taking this matter up with trading standards as you have taken money from my credit card without permission and I will also be contact my credit card supplier, American Express immediately.
I await to hear from you on this and expect that both 2019 and 2020 payments are refunded.
