First of all, I had to have my husband log in to AVG because I don't have an account with you but yet you took money off of "my" card to pay for a service I never got. We have always had the free AVG version of your protection so there was no reason for any kind of charge to my card, which I've never used with AVG to begin with. You are supposed to be protecting us not taking money from us without our permission. We no longer trust you. This caused me to have a panic/anxiety attack. I have notified my bank of this unauthorized transaction done by you.
Hello Joseph,
We are sorry for the way you feel.
We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account.
You have been charged 49.99 USD on May 13, 2019 for AVG TuneUp Unlimited subscription as auto-renewal service was enabled for its trial order. We sent you an email notification 10 days prior to the expiry date which contains information on "How to cancel your subscription" before being charged by AVG.
Are you referring to this charge?
Hi Joey,
Let me explain this for you.
The charge of 49.99 USD was debited for AVG TuneUp Unlimited subscription as auto-renewal was enabled for its trial order.
It looks like your your husband would have entered your card details when he sign up for the free trial.
Your payment card may have a card updater service enabled, which keep your payment card information current for merchants in case you get a new card number or expiration date changes.
We initiated a refund of your AVG TuneUp Unlimited subscription and sent you an e-mail confirming the same.
Feel free to contact us if you need any further help.
I told you this is not Joseph, I'm his wife. I don't have an account with AVG. I had to have him log in here so I could leave you messages. Yes, this is the charge I'm referring to. You took my money off of my card without my permission. How did you get my card number to use in the first place?

This email is my husband's…once again because I don't have an account with you so this charge should have NEVER been done from my card. Maybe your system needs to look at the names associated with the cards you are taking money from and make sure the payment method belongs to the actual account user. I want my money back.

This isn't the experience we want you to have, Leasha. Let us attempt to explain this clearly for you.
Upon checking our records, we see that the charge is located under the email address that you've used to reach us here & it is for the automatic renewal as our colleague has mentioned in the previous post.
The feature 'Card Updater' which is linked to your account will automatically update the card details & it permits our payment gateway for the transaction.
Please let us know how you'd like to proceed with this charge.
