Unexpected-kernel-mode-trap avgwfpa.sys

I'm having the same exact issue- Have you found a solution Mr. Jenkins?

I have spent the last 4 days working with at least 5 techs at AVG to resolve this same issue. Child accounts with WIndows 8.1.  I should have read this page first as I now see that there is no solution. I am very disapointed. Having such a program working with children accounts is a must.

Amy, Just out of interest have you actually tried updating to Windows 10?.

Hi Jason,
It is Microsoft issue and it should be fixed in Windows 10.
Login on top of page is not for Community but for AVG MyAccount.
Thanks

Should I just also expect no response to the question as well as the problem then?

C'mon!

How am I supposed to trust AVG Products to protect, optimize, and otherwise mess with my computers settings if you can't figure out this problem that has been occuring for 2-3 years!

Make this a priority... It's not Microsoft's job to figure out why your product coding isn't working with theirs. They are in the power position... YOU should be using their SDK to make your product work with theirs... FIX IT!

I have been a customer for a REALLY long time... Your solution shouldn't be "turn off our product" or "turn off Family Safety".

PS: I also got caught in some kind of crazy loop trying to even post this... it says you need to login to post... You click on login at the top... you click on support again... And... guess what? Your are not logged in! The login on the left menu sems to work. FYI... Usabiity... Fix that too.

Don't lose a loyal client. I have brough you so many private customers... AND a HUGE amount of government... you just don't know!

I am trying to set up a new child account on my computer! which I can not do as i keep getting the message unexpected kernel mode trap avgwfpa sys

I need to known how I can load a new account avoiding AVG closing my system down.I have the 2014 avg

I have you post's but I can not understand them as the thread from the first posting go's on for a long time could you come with a more plain English reply
Regards
Alan

Alan, If you look thro' the previous topic (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D3aLAAS) that you referred to again presently you'll see that the only fix (temporary) available is uninstall Firewall component or disable family safety. AVG are also working with Microsoft on locating the culprit and preparing fix.

How is that an acceptable answer? And how can you possibly say that Microsoft is at fault when it's your job to program for the operating system, not the other way around?  I just bought a 2 year zen pro protection plan and I regretted it almost immediately  Family Safety and antivirus/firewall should be compatible, no?  The answer of "wait til Windows 10" is not an acceptable one.  What is AVG going to do to serve its customers?  Nothing?
