Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap error message

So, none of that should have been an issue.  As I said it works fine for me, its just his 'account' that gets the error.  One follow-up.  I recently applied windows based restrictions to his acct (internet filtering)…could this be causing the conflict?  I considered two options:  1) resetting his acct to regular status vice child with restrictions and trying to log in; and 2) removing and reinstalling AVG.

After I set up the internet filter initially (last week?) I was able to get back in to his acct.  I installed AVG 2 nights ago, with internet filtering in place, although tweaked it a little last night.

As Admin, I installed the AVG internet security 2015 app on my son's computer. When I went into his account, after entering his password (this is a Windows 8 machine which associates his password to a hotmail account) I get a blue screen with this message and it boots me out of login process.  While logged in as Admin, I have no issues.  I did have some warnings pop up while logged in as Admin and said to 'fix' them but did not pay super close attention to what they were warning about (most of them seemed to focus on spurious toolbar extensions).

Help!

Hello Laurie, this error is mostly generated due to hardware failure or because of installation of inappropriate or incompatible device drivers. As with other Blue Screen of Death errors, a simple restart may resolve the issue. However if the problem persists, the computer must be restarted in safe mode and any newly installed device driver must be uninstalled to make Windows 8.1(different Windows8) computer run smoothly.
so my trial and error approach worked...after all I am a systems engineer.  When i removed the special blocking settings that Windows offers for 'family safety' it opened right up.  I will set the blocks at router instead...I hate Windows 8...what a piece of garbage
