Uninstall AVG Internet Security after using AVG Clear and Uninstall

I have downloaded and used AVG Clear and AVG Uninstall to remove my Windows 10 version of AVG Internet Security, and did the computer restarts as required.  It is still there.  I tried to uninstall via opening Programs and then Uninstall and it is still there.  I want this off my computer now.  I have been working on this all day and I'm not a very happy customer right now!!!

I downloaded and ran the removal tool and rebooted as required.  It didn't work.  In fact, I opened AVG Internet Security and it said that AVG was Out Of Date.  I clicked Update Now, and the virus update worked fine.  The program update gave me an error message.  My current program version is 17.8.3036 (build 17.8.3705.249) and it says a new version of the prgram (19.9.2322) is available release date 12/21/2017, but AVG will not download it.

why should I install the AVG Free now?  Then I will have to uninstall that in order to install my already-paid-for licensed version of AVG Internt Security.  This will take even more time!  I have been on this chat room for over 8 hours now and I can't get my stupid licensed paid for AVG to download!

And I continue to get the "We're sorry.  Chat is not available" message.  This is not helping me.

And yes, I have restarted my computer a few times (including 5 minutes ago) to try to fix this.

Now, the "Preparing your AVG Installation" is asking to install the Free Version of AVG !  I have a license!  Please help!

Sue, I apologize for the inconvenience. From my side, the chat link is working fine. In this case, I would suggest you restart your computer once and start installing the AVG Antivirus free.

Great, that worked and it's now completely uninstalled.  Now I need to reinstall AVG Internet Security.  I have a paid license - how do I reinstall it?

Argh!  I clicked the link and signed in, and have gotten "We are sorry. Chat is not available".   This has happened 5 times now.  Help!
