Uninstall of AVG leaves services, scheduled tasks, subdirectories, and registry keys in its wake.
Could not completely remove the registry keys even in debug mode because a couple of AVG keys were denied deletion.
Had to be careful to disambiguate AVG with the abbreviation for average. Some encrypted keys stored in the registry had the letters "avg" by chance. Some other system and user applications have the letters "avg" in the names of their dll's and exe's.
I'm certain that I could not delete every occurrence of AVG in my registry, though I did remove the services, tasks, and subdirectories.
I did not take the option to uninstall and leave profile for a new install, in case this would have been the first !d!ot!c question.
